Coaching in Action

Prior to or at each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.

Here is the Typical Coaching Process:

  • Initially there is an introductory meeting.
  • When the person decides to become a client, they are sent a Welcome Package to complete before the first session with an agreement, purposeful questions and materials to reflect on. Questions are answered by the client prior to the next session.
  • The first coaching session is usually in person for 1 to 1 ½ hours.  In this meeting, administrative details are covered and coaching commences.
  • The agenda for each session is set by the client.
  • Typically there are 3 sessions per month scheduled in the first 3 weeks of the month – same day and time each week.
  • Coaching can be in person or by phone or a combination thereof.  In person sessions are 1 hour.  Telephone sessions are 45 – 50 minutes.
  • Fees are paid on or prior to the first day of the month for which they are due. 
    Fees vary depending on a number of factors.
